I was a bit worried about legal issues with this file. If enough people like it I will continue to make updates to it, so feel free to make suggestions or ask for certain features on the blend swap page, or the youtube comments. I also made a tutorial on youtube that goes into what is included in the blend file and how to use the rig so you can use it ASAP. Check out the blend swap page to download it and read more about the rig. I plan on using this for another project I got coming up but I wanted to share this right away and see what everyone thought. There are a bunch of cool things added to the rig to give you great control over Mario, its ready for use in Cycles, and you can animate with it right now! All I ask is that you give me credit for the model, textures and rig in whatever medium you use it in. I figured it would be a good way to give back to the community in addition to getting some feedback and suggestions. I recently finished making a model and rig of Mario (complete with textures) and I have made it available on blend swap! This started out as a way for me to explore new techniques and try some new skills but eventually I thought it would be cool to share this. Animate Mario with this downloadable rigged model.
